<p>What makes someone go from browsing to buying?</p>
<p>That million-dollar question is at the heart of Katelyn Bourgoin’s newsletter <em><a href="https://customercamp.co/why-we-buy/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Why We Buy</a>.</em></p>
<p>“We dig into the psychology and explain what’s happening in people’s minds as they interact with the world and your products so that marketers and business owners can improve the way they reach them,” says Katelyn.</p>
<h3>The Problem: Supporting a newsletter turning into an income stream</h3>
<p>Katelyn first launched her newsletter to promote the other aspects of her creative business. The newsletter went through several iterations of cadence and content before settling into two styles: A deep dive into a single psychological concept for one issue and a more roundup-style called the “Brainy Best.”</p>
<p>“I was getting such amazing feedback from readers that they loved it,” says Katelyn. “But I didn’t ever plan for the newsletter to be more than just a channel for our business. Out of the blue in February 2022, someone offered to sponsor the newsletter, and we realized it was a great fit for us.”</p>
