Mission-driven work you can be proud of

We choose values over shortcuts

Kit is on a mission to help creators build more valuable businesses. The people who work here care about creators and choose Kit because they want to impact people’s lives with their work.

That work is always guided by deeply rooted values and a mission to serve others. Nathan Barry started Kit in 2013 to create more access for people to become creators, and those values and that mission still drive the work we do today.

Kit is not for you if...

You want to coast.

We're at an inflection point, and what we do now defines what comes next. Everyone here is here on purpose. If you're looking to chill without pushing yourself to grow—Kit isn't the place.

You want structure more than self-direction.

We're building fast, and not everything has a neat process yet. If you need a playbook handed to you on day one—or prefer being told exactly what to do—Kit might feel chaotic.

You don't care about creators.

This isn't just another SaaS company. Creators are our why. If you're not excited to build for them—or you think the creator economy is a passing trend—you'll feel out of place.

You're chasing titles, not impact.

We care way more about what you build than what's on your LinkedIn. If hierarchy, promotions, or a big company name matter more to you than doing work that matters, this won't be a fit.

You need in-person contact with a traditional 9–5.

We're remote, distributed, and often async. That means more autonomy, but occasional meetings at weird times. If that sounds frustrating instead of freeing, this probably isn't your place.

You're opposed to using AI.

We believe in leveraging AI to work smarter—both in our product and in how we operate. It's not about replacing people, but empowering a small team to move fast, stay competitive, and spend more time on high-impact work.

Qualities of a successful team member at Kit

A culture of ambition, autonomy and care: Kit isn’t just another tech company. We're a community of builders shaping the future of the creator economy. If you're looking for a place where your work has real impact, and your teammates care deeply, move fast, and build for the long term, then this is the place for you.
